Aptana Studio was just purchased by Appcelerator to integrate into Titanium Studio (a mobile development IDE built on top of Aptana Studio). You can even create a GitHub pull request from inside PhpStorm. Built specifically for PHP, it’s the ideal IDE for WordPress/PHP developers. Once you get used to the luxuries, it’s hard to turn back. It offers way more than a basic code editor. Its also nice for javascript/JQuery and CSS now. Many of our devs here at Delicious Brains Inc love PhpStorm. That would allow you to jsut uninstall PyDev and add Aptana. But without question, my favorite IDE is Visual Studio. Aptana Studio is built on top of Eclipse, so regular Eclipse plugins work, but you can just as easily put Aptana as a plugin into a straight Eclipse version (i.e. To get Python editing, JS support and template support, Aptana Studio should be fine. What to use is dependent on what you need.
